Our goal at The Story Garden is that every child who walks through our doors would find a powerful connection with the joy of reading and a reflection of themselves in our books.
As an indie bookstore with a highly-curated selection of children’s books, events and merchandise, we are constantly working to create a community that celebrates both the love of books and the power of literacy.
St. Petersburg is known not only for its inviting beaches, but also for its rich acceptance of all cultures and lifestyles. We, too, embrace that inviting and welcoming spirit in our bookstore and hope that through our books children will feel accepted and learn to pay that kindness forward.
Because The Story Garden’s mission goes beyond retail sales, we are highly selective in our choices of books, and it is with this same mindset that we hope to welcome and feature local authors that support our values.
We offer a consignment relationship that involves the author and the bookstore working together to meet the goal of achieving recognition and the sale of your work.
